Text message program
How Quiet Done sends completion notes by text, and how recipients opt in and out.
Effective date: June 4, 2026.
What the program is
Quiet Done is a personal task app. When you mark a task done, the app can send a short completion note to a recipient you have chosen. Text message delivery is optional. Email is the default, and texting is only used for a recipient who has confirmed they want it.
Who receives texts, and how they opt in
Recipients opt in themselves, on the web:
- In the app, a Quiet Done user adds a recipient and creates a personal opt-in link for them.
- The user shares that link with the recipient. The recipient opens it, enters their own mobile number, and checks a box to agree to receive texts.
- No texts are sent to anyone who has not opted in on that page. Until a recipient opts in, completion notes go by email.
You can see the opt-in page recipients use here: quietdone.com/sms-optin.
Consent to receive texts is never a condition of buying or using Quiet Done.
What the messages say
Right after a recipient opts in, they get one confirmation text: “Quiet Done: you’re opted in to task-done updates. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out. Msg & data rates may apply.” After that, completion notes read, for example: “Alex marked this done: pick up the dry cleaning.”
Message frequency
Message frequency varies and depends on how often you mark tasks done. It is typically a few messages per week.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.
Opting out and getting help
A recipient can reply STOP at any time to opt out of all texts; after that, completion notes go by email. Replying HELP returns help information.
Privacy
Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in information are never sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers are shared only with our messaging provider (Twilio) for the sole purpose of delivering these messages. See our Privacy Policy and Terms for details.
